Yesteryear Rally

This is a major local show now in its 34th year that has something of interest for just about everyone.

There are large exhibition rings and constant displays are staged throughout the two days. These range from vintage vehicles, steam traction engines, vintage cars, motor cycles and tractors to horse drawn wagons dog training and falconry displays. The craft tent hosts practical demonstrations of a variety of ancient skills whilst outside the many traders in attendance provide a massive outside market.

We exhibit in the Model Marquee and are also provided with a small sailing area to display our boats on the water. This allows us to provide free sailing of small radio controlled boats on both days. This is very popular with young and old and we hope encourages new modelers to our hobby.

We again featured a lifeboat theme and collected £164.30 for the RNLI over the two days.

SHG Models (King Midas - Tugs x 4, Saucy Sue - Trawler and the Gypsy Girl - Pleasure Cruiser) were used for the public to sail and we were kept busy from 10 am to 5 pm on both days. The models are ideal for this purpose and lasted better than the supervisors!
