Crewe & District Model Boat Club has been providing a model boating facility since our creation in the mid 1980’s. It is our mission to encourage and develop interest in model boating by displaying and sailing our models for our own and the general public’s benefit. We believe the best way to achieve this goal is to encourage all those who wish to build and sail model boats by sharing our skills and knowledge. We have an active number of model yachters joining the club but are not able to sail deep keeled yachts at all times due to low water levels and underwater weeds. Several of our members sail or plan to sail model steam boats. To ensure compliance with our insurance conditions and maximum safety we have affiliated to The Northern Association of Model Engineers (N.A.M.E.). Two boiler testers have been appointed and are ready to perform tests now that we have received the necessary documentation. Current at 11th June 2010.
